January 2013 and 2014

Time has flown by so incredibly fast... I decided I wanted to take a day each month this year to review (in picture form) how far we've come - how much babies have grown, we've changed, and remember the different things we've done. All this compared with the correlating month in 2014. So basically these "month" post will be primarily picture-ful. :)

Boa's first feeding at 4 months!

He loved his daddy :)

He also loved his jumper. I'm going to have to get this thing out for Ambrose in another month or two!

Looking so handsome! What chunky legs he had even way back then!

Playing with his new toys that grandma had gotten him for Christmas.

He didn't particularly care for swinging, but he was cute! I had Ambrose in that same sleeper yesterday!

Playing with daddy <3

And look how he's grown!
Big fat boy!

Smiley Ambrose :)

There's a mirror closet door in just about every room in this basement we're renting out from my parents. I get sick of looking at myself at every turn, but I can see how Boa doesn't mind it. He's SO cute!

PaPa and NaNa (my mom's parents - great grandparent now) came to visit, so I had to take some pictures!

Being silly :)

Oooh NaNa has a phone!

Being silly :)

Reading a book with Gramps...

And with GiGi.

I have to be intentional about taking pictures of Ambrose sometimes, because he just sits there for the most part - but he's cute too!

Getting some skin on skin with daddy <3

Practising being big. I dont remember Boa being so strong and happy on his stomach at this age.

I love his round little head. :)

hanging out with GiGi...

Smiling for Gramps!

Cuddling with daddy!

Ah! my boys!

Is it artistic that I cut his head off in this picture? Remember Boa wearing this shirt last year? (not the jacket)

Playing with Uncle Isaac.

Cute boys!

Playing outside!

Goofy boy kicking daddy.

Hug!

Smiles!

Adam went out to cook hamburgers and came back with some pretty flowers!

Boa got to eat some "cake in a mug" - a Trim Healthy Mama recipe - for breakfast yesterday!

He's so cute smiling with his tongue out. A couple minutes later, he pooped all over this bunny outfit. Fortunately a little dish soap, a little bleach, and a quick wash got it all clean again. Whew!

Mmm cake!

Saying goodbye to daddy before he left for work...

And cuddling with baby Ambrose while he was naked after his poop accident. :P

I wonder what next January will bring?

Pretty Crochet Storage Bag

So for his birthday, Boa's grandma gave him 100 balls. You know, those colorfull hollow plastic balls. And they're really fun. Really :) But you leave one or two of them on the floor, and next time you walk into his bedroom, it's like "Gah! Messes! I cant handle this!"(I know - I'm a mom. I should be used to this... But I dont know if I really ever will be...)

I did keep the balls in this cardboard box for a while, which once contained organic local apples... But really, cardboard boxes are really not the most attractive methods of ball storage... So I got inspired and made a net bag from some yarn which essentially cost me a dollar at the ARC thrift store...
Convenient loop for Hanging.  This bag probably wont live on the door... I should probably figure out a hook of some kind to screw into the wall.

Isn't it pretty?

Yay, the loop!

Adam said "it's just a bag! I don't know why it has to look nice..." But I wanted to have pretty things flowering off of it... :/

Flowery top of the loop... :)

Plus you can just fling it on the couch and it still looks nice.

See!?

And it's even an adventure-toy for babies to try to get ball out of!

Pretty snazzy :)

Pretty flowers.

Oh look - I did my nails!

Easy to carry!

I'll make you one if you're interested! Or if you're desperate, I might even try to type up the pattern.

My mom said I should sell them. Would anyone buy something like this? They're so versatile to make. Any color, so many fancy danglies, and you can put most anything inside them. What do you think?

Catching Up...

I'm a terrible blogger I've realized. This is because I want to record all the things that have happened in life since the last post, and they when I put them off, they just keep building and building and eventually it seems an impossible task. So My objective in this post is (hopefully) to post some pictures and minimal commentary (hopefully), so that I don't feel like a failure, and can move on with life... So:

Little Boa at a couple weeks.
We still lived in the basement of a lady I
used to babysit for at this time.

Boa sometime older than 6 weeks.
Taking pictures at grandma and grandpa's
(Adam's parents).

Boa at 2 months.
Photo shoot with daddy (much to Adam's
chagrin, I try to do these sometimes...). We
had just moved to our own place.
A two bed- and two bath-room town home
that we rented for a while.

Boa at 3 months - probably close to
4 months.
He could sit up well at that point.
This photo was from a photo shoot I sat
in the car while Adam coached baseball to
some 13 year old boys.

Boa at 4 months. Such a chubster. :)

Boa at 5 months.
Taken one morning while Adam was
in worship during our basic semester at
Ellerslie. All the girls (and some guys)
we went to class with loved to hold Boa.

Boa at 6 months. I love this picture.
When Daddy's not around,
I try to take lots of pictures of this guy
anyways. :)

Spring! We took Boa to see the baby
goats at GiGi and Gramps' house
(my parents). He was cute whenever
he wasn't crying to be held away from
 those scary monsters :)

After our lease was up, we moved
to a basement apartment at my grandma's
house so that Adam could continue going
to Ellerslie (through the Advanced program),
with a much shorter commute. I did lots
of outdoor photo shoots - as you will see.
The next couple pictures are taken
in my grandma's backyard.
 Boa loves being outside.

So Handsome!

So silly ;) And look at the teeth on that big boy!

Standing - WHAT?!

He liked our raking adventure the day
before it snowed :)

As he got better at walking, we started
taking walks around the block while I
took pictures. What a ham :) He's actually
trying to put the lens cap back
on my camera. He loves lids.

Love this monkey hat :)

And - WHAT?? Who knew this guy was
coming? Ambrose joined our family
November 1, 2013. Boa wasn't sure
what to think of the fact that "Baby brother"
was no longer a big belly. haha

But he grew to like him. At first
he liked to headbang him...
Now he's graduated to giving "hogc"s.

I love having a newborn around again -
Amazing how much I forgot about all the
different stages - even though the boys
 are only 13.5 months apart!

Big Strong 2 month old Ambrose.
His name means "Immortal man
possessed by God". We kinda like him :)

Boa also likes belly buttons.

The End.
