Once upon a time, I got married to the most wonderful man alive. And that was on April 6, 2012. As good a time as ever to start a blog. Not to mention that September 5, 2012, I am due to have a baby!So far that's three beginnings:
1. Husband
2. Blog
3. Baby
(Although, maybe the baby should go before the blog if we're doing this by level of importance...?)
Anyways, life is just so good. I'm just enjoying the simple pleasures of married life - falling asleep next to the man I love (multiple times per night, between his adorable snoring, and my excessive need to pee in the middle of the night - oh pregnancy), and waking up with him, and making him breakfast (am I a good cook? Is he telling the truth?). Best of all, watching Psych together before getting ready for bed [insert prolonged "Psyyyyyyyych" in a throaty Optimus Prime voice here] (only Adam would get that reference - but TRY to imagine how awesome it makes Psych sound).
(For those who don't know, Psych is a comedic, murder mystery show about a guy who pretends to be Psychic, but really is only very observant, and his sidekick - a Pharmaceutical Salesman. Take it from us - it's awesome!)
Oh! Another beginning thing in our lives, in relation to being married, is that we've begun living with a family for whom I've babysat for roughly 6 years. We get a bedroom, bathroom, and little kitchenette in their basement (which also doubles as the kids playroom - fun stuff; we've been using a table that's 2 feet off the ground to eat off for breakfast every morning, sitting on pint-sized blue plastic chairs. It's great fun :) haha). Anyways, this family has been so generous to let us live with them for a while - probably until sometime after the baby is born. But for now it's fun to hear the pitter-patter of 2 year old feet come down stairs to tell me that he likes to jump on beds. Mmm, that's good news, little guy. Last time you were on this bed you drooled on it... So...
Yeah. Life is good, and this was an introduction. God is so good to bless us with so many great gifts and provide for all of our needs. His blessing over our union has been repeatedly confirmed by His provision - from providing SO many people to help with the wedding (I couldn't have done it alone - my planning skills are lacking), to providing us a place to live, a job for Adam - right before getting married, and having so much baby stuff offered to us for when our little guy comes along - we'll be set without having to spend much on anything - such a blessing! Point being, God is so good, and we would be nowhere without Him. I'm so excited to see how he works.
Oh, and as far as baby names, right now, we're thinking Boa Matrix for a boy, which means "swift and strong place from which something else originates", or, for a girl Abeni Matrix, which means "girl prayed for from which something else originates." Both of these names just represent the change that God has had for us since we found out that I was pregnant - because this baby really has been a catalyst for change. God uses even our sin to bring glory to Himself... He is an awesome God.
Lord thank You so much for all the new beginnings and changes in our lives... You are amazing. Amen.
